  • Why doesn't the "Auto adjustment button" work properly?

    Confirm the following two points:

    • Confirm the input signal to be analog. The "Auto adjustment button" does not work for digital signals. The adjustment menus available with digital input are fewer than with analog input, and Clock, Phase and Position adjustments and others are invalid with digital input. (Valid/Invalid functions vary by model.) This is because digitally displayed images are optimally displayed on screen without adjustments.
    • Confirm the adjustment lock is off. To lock or unlock, switch a monitor off and then switch the monitor on while pressing the Auto adjustment button. (While the lock function is on, input signal selection, speaker volume, brightness and contrast are adjustable.)

  • Is it necessary to install the monitor information file attached to the monitor packages?

If your computer and monitor conform to VESA DDC, the installation of the monitor information file or other special settings are not required. When they are connected to each other, the resolution and refresh rate are automatically set to the optimal values by the Plug-and-Play function. For the Plug-and-Play function, the system environment must comply with VESA DDC. The following OSes are available. -Microsoft Windows 98 -Microsoft Windows Millennium Edition -Microsoft Windows 2000 -Microsoft Windows XP -Microsoft Windows Vista *VESA DDC compliant computers (graphics boards) *VESA DDC compliant monitor cables.

  • Afterimages appear when I continuously display one image on screen and change the image to different one, is this a problem?

When a pattern is continuously imprinted on an LCD monitor screen, "afterimage" or "residual images" may appear. Unlike CRT monitors' "burnt phosphor" by which an image is permanently etched into the phosphor. LCD monitors' "afterimage" is reversible. To reverse this phenomenon, run the monitor with a gray pattern displayed or turn the power off completely. It all depends on the level of afterimage, though, it usually takes about three times the amount time for the afterimage to disappear as the time the original image was displayed that caused the phenomenon. To prevent this problem, it is recommended to set the "Off Timer" function. Please note that the afterimage is different from the ghost or blur of an image that may appear when displaying motion pictures due to slow response times.`
